Should be an Adult only site. Children can see to much garbage. Malicious content if you dont watch your step. Many vulgar and nasty personal images. Can be fun for adults if careful.

Problems galore: phishing, spyware, endless hacking, etc. DO NOT click on any ads/promotions!!! And Tom is a schmuck. I don't have one single good thing to say about it (except for some great people I've met on it) and yet I am still there. Go figure...

I wouldn't recommend the site to younger kids, only because it's so easy for someone to send a message to you and also try to add you. Also, there are lots of ads (pop ups? I've yet to get one unless I click on an ad), but as long as you don't click on them, nothing bad will happen to your computer. It's nearly impossible to insert a virus via HTML unless there's some kind of external link, so ignore the rest of the dumb comments about that. As long as you know internet safety and all that crap, you're good.

MySpace is and always will be bad. I fail to see what is the point of meeting total strangers that obviously came for socialization. For example, making friends on Wikipedia is not a bad thing, the people there want to make an encyclopedia. On MySpace everyone is there purely for social reasons. It's not possible to check the identities of the people on there, and posting a picture of yourself online is one of the most stupid things you could do. There is a history and many notorious cases of sexual predators. In addition n00b HTML coders try to make their MySpace page look "cool" only to crash peoples' browsers. Thank goodness I use No Script. The profile pages are horribly coded by the way and often may mask hidden links or pictures, that brings up the problem of users distributing malware. Do not trust MySpace nor use it. It has no real use. Not good for any kids any age. Everyone just lies about their birth date anyways. I wouldn't be surprised if there were 7 year olds on MySpace or 45 year old cyber stalkers.......
