Безопасен ли name-list.net?

I checked this site and could find nothing wrong. No tracking, no malware, no location data. My name, Gary, has a web popularity of 543,000,000 pages. Go ahead and try to find me without using my last name, if you do find me let me know how because I can't. If anyone thinks this site is giving any information that can't be found elsewhere on the net I would like to see some evidence of that. And before giving negative statements about them storing photos I checked the image info then asked name-list.net about it, it may be that I am simply not knowledgeable enough to make that determination. As far as copyrighted photos, I will ask again for evidence of any copyright infringement. If someone thinks there is copyright infringement, and cares, they should notify the copyright holders, not give a bad rating just because they think it might be. I trust this site based on the facts I could determine, not because of my opinions.

The reason I don't trust this site is, that they tell you they don't store images of people. That's NOT TRUE. If you search Google image search using "site:www.name-list.net" you get masses of large images stored in the site. So they are LIARS. www.name-list.net-FAQ: -You say you don't store pictures, but on some names I can find photographies of real people, why? -None of those pictures are stored on our servers.

For those wondering why this site has been bad rated. It's possible due the very reason listed on their own homepage: "Purpose You can use the lists of names for: virtual profiles, game characters, wordlists, online games, random name tools, fictional characters, **fake profiles, anonymous accounts**, etc." (** is mine to highlight) As others stated here, it provides a tool for easily making fake profiles and stuff. And more, the info is collected without the people's consent, even though they keep claiming that they grab from public sources (in other words, already exposed info) but still it gives them no right to grab those info and associate it with real photos, per example. If it just grabbed names, it could be fine. But also exposing photos or even location related to those names without people's consent is a bad sign and practice.

This site offers all tools needed to easily create fake identities on the web in order to commit frauds. Besides names, it also offers ID pictures that most fraudsters use on social media. It clearly steals the pictures collected on the web, without asking their owners for permission, and thus infringes copyright laws.

This site has no malware that I encountered. There was also no indication of child safety issues. Some members of WOT appear to have no idea what the rating system is meant to do. Their uneducated reviews, without explanation, is a disgrace to those needing guidance to peer approved sites under unbiased grading. Member reviews should include reasons for review grades which can be studied before entering new areas.

Ratings above are wrong! Malicious persons are sabotaging, vandalizing, diluting MyWOT! The site is all it says it is on the Homepage. The site does what is says it will do. What has anybody got to support the "Very poor" label for the "Privacy" category? What do eight anonymous persons know about this issue that they have chosen to keep secret? Is this increasing or destroying the integrity the value of WOT ratings? A statement at the bottom of each "details and analysis" results page provides the following information regarding the "Privacy Policy" of the site: "(Privacy: name-list.net does not log or store emails, addresses, phone numbers, facebook accounts, ids, ip, password, logins, profiles, pictures or any other kind of private information)" As to the "Vendor reliability" category, I ask any who might listen, "What does this site vend?" I cannot see thing offered for sale nor services for a fee. Unfortunate, I believe it is, that no requirement exists for persons entering a "Rating" to know anything about the concept of this program or the function of the site. In this case, the raters seem to have lied! Their lack of integrity destroys the integrity of MyWOT, does it not! Is it not possible for some "reasonable and prudent man" on the staff of this organization to delete such obvious trash? Cannot a review process be instituted for such obvious trash?

I wondering now after "Google out" for my own name and found a bat rated site, unbelievable, it shows me know trhat I cannot trust WOT more. I use WOT in a fair and correct way, I´m very disappointed how easy it is to leave a bad rating for somebody here.

Jim, I agree with you, I don't understand more what the problem is with this site: it is just a website of statistic of the use of names in the world according to the web, isn't it? Could, please, those who think that the child safety, the privacy, the vendor reliability and the trustworthiness are very poor explain to me why, by a comment? Thanks.

I've been using WOT for over a year now. Being nosy and maybe stupid, I've gone to the sites that show up in red. I come to site, looked around. Didn't find anything terrible about it. What gives with people going to a site and giving it bad marks? I'm not for or against the site. The freak-in site is as boring as watching paint dry. It's a list of names for Christ sake. Come on and be fair when rating these places
