You 2% ers are the real Bigots! You Rail against heterosexuals (aka: traditionalists) supporting “TRADITIONAL" (aka: sacrament of marriage) Christian values. You don't have to like it.
If our side (the 98% ers) decide to play your game by your rules; we will kick your little butts. Enough is enough.
America is all about Free Speech and Free Expression (Land of the Free and Home of the Brave!) This new attitude of: "You Hurt My Feelings" (Suck it up and GET OVER YOURSELF! Suppression of speech is a COMMUNIST IDEA (!) Not Here, Not Now, Not Ever!
Nice Try...
There are many sites going back to 2012 documenting arbitrary okcupid bans. The site seems to be an elaborate scheme to gain personal details then ban users. They offer monthly payment plans which you then can't cancel because you can't log in.
Avoid creating an account on this untrustworthy site.
If you search for people on this site with "Any" status (as opposed to only "Single"), you may find some people with "Available" status, which means that they are in a relationship and may be looking to cheat on their partners (i.e., commit adultery.)!
It's common sense that a dating site isn't for children. No duh! OkCupid is free and I don't know what else people expect from a free dating page. I say it's misleading because even as being a Moderator for OkCupid, we can not prevent fake profiles from being made, we can only receive reports that a profile may be fake and attempt to remove it with pieces of evidence. Also, OkCupid can not prevent or verify that a user is not over the age of 18 unless they specify on their profile that they are underage, which then a Moderator like myself can receive a report of a minor and remove the page. Also, people can get away with posting nudity, sexually suggestive profile descriptions and cursing until moderators receive a report. Pictures, profile descriptions and age verification do not await moderator approval nor request further information to verify authenticity so what is posted can stay up there until it's reported. Use OkCupid at your own discretion, if you want extra security, sorry but you're going to have to pay money for match.com or eharmony.com for extra security and verification that the users are REAL people.
Pretty legit site, the sites photo rules are as follows:
No nudes
No fake photos of yourself
No photos that are not of a face
I believe the photos get monitored in a non-creepy way, just to make sure nothing leaks through.
Do not count on this site to save your contacts, or to be able to log in if something goes wrong because there is no support, NONE . if you have friends on the site you may never hear from them again because OKcupid don't care to help you figure out why their site no longer works. Its Free and that mean it cost nothing, but NO IT IS NOT FREE it costs YOU a lot when you lose all your data or dates. It will cost you a huge amount of time and effort.
WARNING: This site is owned by "Match.com." They sell your private data. For more detailed information, see here: http://www.abine.com/blog/2012/your-privacy-on-okcupid-the-unromantic-truth/
It's a free dating site. I have been on it now over a year. Have never gotten anywhere on it. Not from lack of trying on my part. Like most dating sites it's full of all kinds of nuts and weirdos. So be very careful here. Like on most other dating sites your messages will for the most part go un-answered. You need a thick skin. Be prepared to be ignored a lot. This site is not a widely used site. If you live in a small town most likely you will get no where. You will also find lots and lots of old, dead profiles. People who haven't been on in months to up to five years. It makes it "look" like there are more people here than there really are.
If you don't mind putting up with weirdos ,nuts & goof balls, Try POF. Plenty of Fish is just as bad as far as nutty people but at least you have more people to choose from and more profiles that are not dead. On either one, Be careful of spammers and scammers.
While the site is great/free(ish) they do need to create revenue somehow, however selling my email address is unacceptable. today i got a TON of spam from "Girls Date For Free" girlddateforfree.com another online dating site and LUCKILY i used a google + email address and could see that the spam was being sent to the address "+cupid" i had used for my OK Cupid registration - SHAME SHAME SHAME
