Безопасен ли oovoo.com?

The version of Oovoo at the time of this posting does NOT allow you to install it without agreeing to install PUPs. I installed anyway figuring I would simply uninstall the extras later. Turns out that it installed much more crap that I NEVER agreed to! Still working on cleaning up after it. Hateful software.

If you create an account on ooVoo, you can't delete it. There is no option or human support to do it. You can replace some of your personal information like the displayed name and the photo... but only içf you install their software. And of course that install some junkware. And you CAN'T modify your email or your ID (which had probably your real name if you're fool like me). And of course you sent mail to them , there is no direct suport mail, so I send mails to http://www.oovoo.com/AboutUs.aspx?pname=AboutUsContactUs but they never answer you. Forget this service.

I went to download this program. Right after getting it, my computer took a dive. I immediately went to uninstall it and I then saw that it has installed toolbars even though I checked no when it asked me about it. Avoid this program, use Skype instead. I didn't come and read this FIRST or I would NOT have downloaded it to begin with. I also have reason to believe they tracked my video call on there, like someone was watching. I don't trust this site or program....

After the download I couldn't made login in my Facebook account neither in my email account (gmail ) when I used the oovoo at the same time.Firstly my free antivirus refuse to leave the oovoo programm to record in registry.The same refuse took place when I decided to remove the oovoo. So , I relised that something wrong had my computer.I decided to use another antivirus and then found it, lucky for me ,a Trojan Agent .I decided to remove the oovoo programm

I visited oovoo.com to download the video chat software by typing in the address on my Windows computer. I had received two now-apparent spam emails inviting me to join a friend on ooVoo, these emails on another computer. Downloaded the Windows XP software and read a very long EULA, that in the end gave ooVoo the right to install the ooVoo Toolbar, or to change my home page, my search settings, my 404 error page, and some other setting. No thanks I said, and tried to decline the agreement and exit the software. The agreement reads that by downloading the software I am bound by the agreement already, and there was no place that I saw to decline. I X'd out the software, up came a sign-in dialog. X'd that out and went to add-remove programs. Removed the ooVoo Toolbar, up comes Internet Explorer displaying Bing home page. Closed that and went about removing the ooVoo client. Ran Spybot and looked for updates, there were none. Looked at the Startup list and everything was OK, so restarted the commuter. Admin password requested to enter Windows. I'm hosed. Friend came over and ran some Linux utilities on the computer and found the passwords changed. I was hosed.
