Come on, people. Stop rating sites low because they track, Have a Giant card? They track you. Sears, Discover, Visa - any credit card, they track you. Take off the tin foil hats, please and rate the sites with TOOLS. Safe Browsing, OK. hpHosts, OK. URL void scan, OK. I will allow it because I have other ways to block unwanted tracking.

Recent press release from this site claims "More than 570 retailers and manufacturers have increased their revenue and advertising insights by sharing 2nd party data on OwnerIQ's Co-operative Audience Exchange Platform" They are getting web sites you visit to track you, remember what you were looking at, etc. (known as 1st party data) and then give (i.e., sell) that information to other web sites (1st party data now become 2nd party data) that may have related products they can market to you in other ads pointing to their site. One of their customers, "uses the CoEx platform for geo-targeting to find new shoppers who have visited a top name appliance website. [We are] then able to put co-branded ads for its stores in front of those consumers, alerting them to the fact that the stores carry the desired products. So, if you are shopping for a new refrigerator, that's possibly a good thing. You might get one from a local retailer ... maybe even at a good price. If you are researching the latest cholesterol medicines and high blood pressure remedies, State Farm might find that really helpful to know when you are pricing policies at their web site. I bristle pretty much any time I hear one site supplying your personal habits and interests to another for the purposes of marketing to you. It can be used for good or bad. I'd rather it was not used at all.
