This is a real company that is not just another malware out of Russia or China, but you must still beware. It doesn't work. It will screw up your dll files by updating with older versions so that other programs can't read them when they go to use them. Then, when I asked for a refund, they gave me the run around until my refund period expired.

PC Cleaners told me I had over 4000 things wrong with my computer and when I began the registration (buying) process the price suddenly jumped from 29.95 to over $44.00 (charging huge exchange on Canadian Dollars which are running at about par plus some other fee) so I immediately bailed out AND it had incorrectly identified 502 Bad Gateway as a problem on my computer - it was not - it was a problem at the website I was trying to access and when I tried to uninstall what had already been downloaded onto my hard drive it would NOT let me uninstall - the 'uninstall' link on the window that came up asking me to phone them was a 'dummy' .. it did not work. I ended up using McAfee Shred to get rid of most of it but some piece of it remained and would not allow uninstall. I had my tech guy here on another matter and he installed and used Revo the uninstall program that they use (it's NOT something to play with - if you do not really know what you are doing you could accidentally delete everything in your Registry if you didn't use it correctly) and he was able to remove the rest of it. When had I first mentioned the company name he cringed and said Oh dear - not anyone you ever want to deal with for any reason. BTW McAfee Shred got rid of the last trace of Babylon (which now comes with Adobe unless you 'uncheck' it several times). How I got it originally I have no idea but it was a nightmare for months. In short stay away from PC Cleaners - they are at least a scam and scareware and possibly malicious. Any program that will not allow you to uninstall it is not something you want on your computer - ever.

Essentially, procedure is as follows. When pop-up box appears, click inside box and then press Enter. Box then disappears and uninstall program can proceed to remove PC Cleaner. Also, please read the many other postings of outraged people scammed by PC Cleaner to get a feel for how bad this company is.
