The program itself is great, but every time you have to update CCleaner by reinstalling the latest version, Yahoo Toolbar gets added into the registry - even after you decline to have it installed. I'm sick of having to remove it Piriform! Thus this is an exponent of malware practises.

Piriform is no longer listed on malwaredomains as a dangerous site. I have e-mailed malwaredomains asking if the listing of piriform was a false positive and they have responded back to me with this e-mail: "piriform WAS listed on a third-party web site as malware but was but was was removed as a false positive (obviously). We removed it here as well. It has not in any downloadable files for quite a while now. I found an old reference to it on a web page and I've removed it there as well." NOTE: Rest assured, this is an actual e-mail from malwaredomains despite the bad grammar in it. In conclusion, piriform is still a great website with some excellent apps. Don't listen to the BS given from klaus_b (WOT user who said piriform was on malwaredomains). NOTE: I am NOT affiliated with malwaredomains or piriform.

Not only are the tools that they provide free of charge, but they're also of immensely high quality. However, they have been listed on malwaredomains as being potentially harmful. Though I haven't found anything myself, I'd advise users to take caution while surfing.
