Reddit is a site for discussion and content related to anything you can think of. The forums, known as subreddits, are moderated largely by the community and for the most part anything goes so long as it isn't illegal. With that said though, all of the NSFW subreddits are clearly marked as so. So long as your kid is mature and smart enough to stay away from the NSFW subreddits, this should be fine for teenagers.
In general a good site, but it's an online forum and there can be some questionable content. Reddit has done a lot to remove the more hateful/potentially illegal content.
There are not safe for work Subreddits that are not child appropriate but everything on the front page and much of everything else is fine for children. Just be wary.
It's a good website for fun stuff, breaking news and knowing things. but its definitely not safe for children for the things they might encounter, see and read
A great site as far as open forums go. the site is typically easy to use however content can potentially be tough to find, you have to dig through a lot of 'weeds' so to speak.
It has a vast arrange of topic for you to search from everything from electronics to gardening and beyond.
It is child friendly as far as i have ever seen without malicious content.
I used to use sites like FARK.com to find interesting news stories. When Reddit came to power, I swapped there because it was a bigger site with more categories to read. Lately though they have started censoring Conservatives and bashing the US president. Politics aside, I respect everyone's free speech rights and I disagree with Reddit's owners censoring legitimate groups that they don't like politically. I'm going back to FARK to get my funny news stories.
