I recently complained to Riseup.net staff that I am not able to receive email from anyone, and their support staff told me the problem is unique to my account, and that they would cancel my account if I complain again. Their support staff emphasized they are a non-profit collective, as if that is supposed to justify their poor customer service.
Initially Riseup.net staff attempted to pacify me, and told me they only take trouble tickets through their web based ticketing system. I attempted to use the web based ticketing system, but it didn't work, and my complaint would not log into their online system. Subsequent attempts at emailing them about this were met with hostility.
I am aware they recently upgraded their servers, and have no complaint with the extra time it might take to get things working after an upgrade. My concern is the threats, and hostility voiced at me, after bringing submitting a trouble ticket.
I have been a user of Riseup.net for more than 2 years, and until recently had no complaints. Not really sure what happened to this organization, and have advised all of my correspondents to stop sending me mail to this account.
