anything that helps you remember a password also helps hackers break it. the only good password is a random password. as big as they'll take. at least 30 characters. humans cannot do random: ask someone to pick a random number. uh,ok,17. why did you pick that number uh, because it's, odd, not common, 7 is strange...if there are reasons, it's not random. why didn't you pick 4? well, that's not random at all...of course it is. exactly as much as any number. roboform creates such passwords, applies them when you want to log into that site. saves them. encrypts them. in other words, it does the bestt of everything for passwords! can save passwords on server so you can access them from anywhere. also can do aliases of a sort. one of my most used is: click to select a place name, click alias f6, and up pops a google map with directions from home to that place. so many more. it also allows you to define identities, like mom, teacher, soccer taxi, etc. and whenever you run into a form to fill out, just click the identity...and in goes all you want, name, address, phone, email, if you like credit card#, etc. of course it handles multiple cards. they think of everything (almost ;) ). lots more. to start using it, install it. that's it. it will, with your permission, start remembering login credentials for the sites you go to, so you can later go there with a click. when you have time, check out one of the other features. create some "search cards" (aliases for short macros), ids, etc. safenotes store and encrypt whatever private information you'd like. instead of writingg it on scraps of paper that scatter around. have fun!

An excellent, safe, reliable, product that continues to improve. While I was also somewhat miffed when they changed from perpetual licenses to annual ones they did do it as part of a significant rewrite. I've used it for two renewals since and while it is slightly pricey it does provide good features across a range of platforms (Windows, Android, iPhone, Mac), Multiple PCs for one license, etc and has regular updates and bug fixes. I do review each year against LastPass and similar but Roboform still seems to keep it's edge with a few USPs such as better offline use. Stable reliable, completely trustworthy. Great supplier.

Well, since the NSA revelations I would never trust this US software company. A lot of people made bad experience with this app and customer service (read at wildersecurity). I have used this app for years, a few weeks ago I discovered, there are much better ones I can use without being concerned about privacy leaks. Now I use Sticky Password. Btw: Roboform makes it extremely difficult to export the login data for other software. This shows again how questionable this software is.

"absolutely free for personal use" --It's too hard to find the truth about Roboform pricing. The desktop version is free if you have 10 or fewer "Passcards." The paid version is worth the money, so why can't they tell you the difference right up front... Before you take the time to put in all your log-in and form info, read the FAQ carefully http://www.roboform.com/support/faq/roboform, then read the separate FAQ for ver. 7 http://www.roboform.com/support/faq/roboform-v7, especially if you are upgrading. Updating a version is free, but upgrading to a new version is not. That's fair, but when they call their own pricing a "new licensing scheme" they aren't kidding about the scheme part. Great program, why scheme?

I have been using Roboform since 2005. Initially it cost me $30 (I think - it may have been $35). Since then, they have added "Roboform Everywhere" which allows you to sync your passwords between your mobile devices and multiple computers. With over 1800 saved passwords in my account, this is a lifesaver for me and well worth the $20 per year cost. The other feature I like is being able to save encrypted notes to yourself. This is in addition to being able to encrypt your password files. Yet another cool feature I use all the time is the password generator. This will generate a random password for you and copy to your clipboard in one click. I'm trying to be brief, but Roboform is truly my favorite service bar none.

Definitely worth the money especially the Roboform2go used in conjunction with the desktop version. You have to pay extra to get a syncing program but this negates the need to have Roboform Everywhere and store your stuff in the cloud (I'm a bit paranoid )
