They are interested in gathering information on people and not in placing. They run FALSE ads on Craigslist and other sites, and once they have your number or email they correspond with poor automation to keep you on the hook with a security check through a ***** link. This is a scam as they collect your money and NEVER place you or even provide customer service.

1. collecting Social Media login data (they push you to login via social media account) 2. misleading scam ads 3. collect your bank card details ***** - everything about fraud and fraud prevention.

This site can't even take a date input properly and has over a dozen fake profile spamming on forums about it. And given the frequency, since Facebook will definitely mark the website as spam, they use a thousand Blogspot links to redirect to the site! Fix your product before applying your MLM tactics!

When you sign up to try and view inbox and contact a roommate, it charges you a monthly fee of 45.95 USD for 3 months after. It's not obvious to many people and has many scam complaints and reports of fraudulent charges. It hurts people without high english skills After calling the contact number there is just a voice message saying to login the account and use the 24/7 service. Using the 24/7 service there is no obvious way to cancel subscription. I think you have to change it to free account. I contacted the person by email and they are hostile and don't give refunds. Make sure you ask for confirmation that the subscription is cancelled. When subscription continues, file fraud complaint and show proof that you contacted roomster and cancelled.

Limited listings in most areas, makes membership auto after trial and then very difficult to end. Even after finally speaking to a human to cancel, was still charged for another cycle, had to involve bank in contesting and finally reversing charge.....

Buyer Beware Trial membership is automatically changed to premium membership and billed for 29.95 until canceled they will not accept a email re cancellation. must follow instructions in terms to cancel. this type of predatory tactic is unethical, and we need to pass some laws to make it illegal as well - hope this helps someone
