Any spam sent from an sbcglobal.net account was sent from a compromised account - meaning the person who owned the email address the spam was sent from (accidently) gave away their password to that email account. It would be the exact same situation if the spam received was from a ***** account, or an ***** account. The domain is not responsible for the spam.

I can't imagine why anyone would consider TigerDirect to be a scam site or any such thing. I've done business with them for years and NEVER had a problem. Many of their deals include a rebate but I've never had any trouble getting my rebates either. GO TD!!

***** is not responsible for the spam / scams that others have reported. The "from" e-mail addresses on those e-mails have been spoofed or come from compromised accounts. This can happen to anyone's e-mail account if they are not careful. It has happened to people I know. ***** is hosted by Yahoo! for the benefit of SBC (now AT&T)'s DSL customers. There is nothing nefarious about it.

The official website and email domain for SBC Global, now owned by AT&T. Now used only for email domains, and trying to actually go there will simply redirect you to AT&T's Yahoo website, ***** Please note that just because a few idiots with @sbcglobal.net email addresses give spam mail, the domain itself is not harmful. It we were to rate based on a few idiots, then http://gmail.com, http://ymail.com, and ***** would all have low ratings also.
