I made an order for cigar and a add pop up for some free one as well, so i got both, but they add me to member club without my knowledge or permission, so they charge me an extra 65.94$, so i paid and they called me and said they didn't get the payment and threaten to call debt collector a year later.

I have ordered cigars through them many times, joined their auto ship program, was ok, but had to cancel it and found that I had to be very firm with them as they seemed unwilling to cancel the program. Their shipping is slow and the cigars are sometimes really dry when the are received. I have since gone to another company that ships faster and ships for less.

Overall the business I've done with Thompson Cigars has been good, and I have a long history with buying from them. That said, they have some deceptive practices that made me pretty angry. They called my cell shortly after I placed an order... to sell me a service: When enrolling in a "discount program," I was automatically in an auto-ship system, despite repeated assurances that that wouldn't happen. (I don't smoke nearly enough cigars to warrant an automatic shipment!) And when the bill arrived for the cigars I hadn't ordered, they had charged me $15 more than the advertised price for the "discount program" I'd thought I'd joined. Outside that experience with the discount program, they've been a good company.
