Безопасен ли wireclub.com?

Having been a member for three years (second stint) I have decided to leave Wire. The layout is good, similar concept to Facebook with a wall to post all your pictures, thoughts, share news etc, with added chat facilities. The site isn't pleasant or safe. They allow user profiles that are "under 18" there is a feature that means they can't pm any adults, however there are options to make user own chatrooms where under 18s can chat with adults. They can also post their phone numbers, emails etc to their walls enabling communication to go off the site easily. There is also no option to "lock privacy" on individual pictures. This means that under 18s can see any picture that is posted to wire. They state they have a "family friendly" policy regarding pictures, I did not find this to be the case. There are a lot of naked pictures that often take months of reporting for them to be deleted. I also found that the moderators, though volunteers -they did sign up for it, are not always entirely effective. They have a "numbers" attitude, refusing to remove profiles that have clear links to scammers and to fakes. "If we did that, have the users would be gone" They also delete things that they have said and contradict themselves. A lot of cyber bullying is brushed under the carpet, even being told by mods to "grow up, it's just hurt feelings" when in fact, it was a case of someone spreading vicious and unfair lies about a user. The type of rumours that could land someone in trouble. I would discourage parents from allowing their under 18s on this site.
