Безопасен ли yahoo.com?

Administrators at WOT need to rationalize yahoo's inclusion among sites that have somehow made the "poor rating" list and have been subsequently blocked. I have been forced to turn WOT off to navigate to sites like ***** which serve as my portal and gives me access to my mail and such information that I need for my professional as well as private life. Obviously, I forget to turn it back on again and this makes me more vulnerable to dangerous sites than I would have been before installing WOT. The site Yahoo, on its' own, does not stick in a bunch of moldy, dangerous cookies and codes but does have links to some very aggressively intrusive sites that a visitor could unwittingly click on thinking that it is a part of the Yahoo domain. As a matter of fact, compared to Google, Yahoo comes out a saint. Once in my 16 years of browsing life I had decided to install the Google tool bar and the amount of insidious services and programs it installed in my (then XP (SP-2) based) computer was scary. Three services were installed: “Google Software Updater”, “Google Update Service (gupdate)” and “Google Update Service (gupdatem)”. Although I immediately disabled these (as the only “updater” I allow is Windows OS update) but I could never really kill two of these (gupdate and GoogleToolbarNotifier) even after I had uninstalled all and every trace of Google applications from my computer. Now, why is ***** not in the “poor rating list” and blocked? Indeed, the reason is obvious. People would stop using WOT if it banned sites like Google. Which does make me wonder if WOT is being totally objective, equitable and unbiased as far as such issues are concerned. I do hope so as I depend a lot on it to protect my children.

Ok, fair enough, its a large business and they have a lot on their plate. But they don't do much other than a revolving door for ToS violations, and thats when you can get them to close someones account for breaking the law. I guess its ok if you want a news site with mail but dont get too comfortable on Answers or in a chat room, the stalker types are allowed to roam free by yahoo and by law enforcement - both think its trolling but I know someone who got burglarized due to IP tracing from a nasty person - buyer beware, but yeah, for a free site? you get what you pay for.
