Yes, YouTube changed the net, and yes, in itself that changed the world, but in my mind's eye I see what it COULD be, and it beats the pants off YT! YouTube and its inevitable successors are here for at least the next short while, so why not waste another few hours happily browsing? Not sure about the security/privacy side of things - YT won't work unless I turn off the plugins and apps that would tell me how safe it is - so I have left no score for that field.

POint de vue sécurité des mineurs, un message s'affiche pour dire que la communauté Youtube trouve le contenu offfensant pour certaines personnes, il faut donc se connecter et être majeur? Youtube is (right now) the largest of these video sites. It is well run and I have enjoyed countless hours rummaging through myriad videos - some funny, some moving, some educational, and some just plain mindless junk. Sorry to say, it is really Not for yourng children, unless accompanied by a responsible adult.

The majority of videos on Youtube are internet phenomenon, music, news, educational and generally blogs and other entertainment. The videos can have some advertisements, but those can be blocked by installing an extension. Overall, Youtube is harmless but use common knowledge for some select occassions.
