You are better off going to a bar. That way you are only out of the money you pay for drinks and the cash you have in your wallet if you find a con artist. They have your email forever and will do with it whatever they wish. You will receive constant emails about matches and subscribing no matter what you do to deactivate or close your account. If you give up your credit card, you are screwed. I've also seen members who are minors, or pictures with minors, or pictures from when someone was a minor. Fake scam profiles are abundant.
Most people you see on Zoosk don't know they are on Zoosk, it seems.
Check this out.

Zoosk is apparently in the business of harvesting profile data from social networks through third-party apps, then repackaging the data as 'singles profiles' under bot-generated user names.
From the Apps on Facebook.com they do save the userinfos and even when you block the app, they do spam you with their promotions, new apps and stuff. Highly critical!
Things to watch out for on a typical yank con.
You can win coinks in a raffle just by logging on, up to around 90, then nothing.
If you wink someone, beware, you will get a virtual instant response that reads like a reply, it is not, it is automated and you can only read it if you pay.
If you do decide to join, beware, after you give your credit card details, the next page tells you that there is another £18.95 activating fee plus £10.00 membership fee on top not mentioned anywhere else
To do anything you have to subscribe to premium services. Even to see a picture, was not happy with the service, would also send emails by other users without their knowledge to get people to sign up. Very fishy.
