Teachers PLEASE BE CAREFUL with Adaptedmind. I signed up for the free trial for teachers at Adapted Mind. At the end it casually asks you if you would like to invite any friends, if enough sign up you get a year for free. I innocently sent an invite to 3 teachers who are in my grade level. The next day at school I overheard teachers at lunch talking about the "Internet Safety Breach" at our school. Apparently ALL the teachers in the ENTIRE school got an invite to Adaptedmind! What's worse is the e-mails didn't just invite them, but made claims that they were invited by other teachers in the school, not even just me, but other teachers who had NO clue what Adaptedmind was. I noticed in the first e-mail sent there was a button that says "Invite other teachers at your school" and another saying "invite other teachers in your district." I'm not sure if someone pressed that or not, but apparently it means that it will automatically send the e-mail to EVERYONE in the entire school or event the entire district!! All of the teachers at my school now think this program is a scam and won't even look at it. It's a real shame they choose such irresponsible marketing techniques because I liked the program otherwise. I contacted customer service and this is all they gave me: "We apologize for the emails. It seems that our marketing team did email the school to let all the teachers know that they have a free year of AdaptedMind. We understand the multiple email send may have caused some confusion. " OK WHAT?? I am not some "confused" child , I am PISSED that you phished out all our e-mails and sent invites claiming to be teachers from our school inviting other teachers! That's creepy and irresponsible marketing. And btw no one has a free year of adapted mind, you are making things up to make it seem like you were somehow helping us. A free year would mean 5 teachers have to sign up and after the spam attack NO teachers at my school will.
