Is adobe.com Safe?

I would like to mention that Adobe has killed off the Creative Suite in favor of Creative Cloud. (The change will take affect starting on June 1st and was announced at its annual MAX conference on Monday May 6th.) I have serious concerns over the long-term results of this move. What Adobe has done means that you can never own an Adobe Program and are forced to rent its software indefinitely for $20 per month for education use or $50 a month at retail for the whole package that you may not use. (A single program costs $10 to $20 per month.) The costs of this move are going to drain the already low budgets for education that could be better spent elsewhere and deter students from using the program outside of class as well as amateurs, people with low incomes, and infrequent users of the software which are critical to the future of it. The entry cloud storage is also very poor at just 20 Gigabytes and forced to pay more for 100 Gigabytes. (It is even lower for single programs.) I am sure that an institution would fill up that amount of storage very quickly. I also do not like that our personal projects will be shared in the cloud by default with this move also so there is also a loss of privacy. It also opens you up to hacker attacks and a complete loss of data if the internet and/or servers go down. I happen to buy most of CS6 software for $700 at the Education discount one time so in just 2 and a half years time, an Adobe Cloud subscription will cost more then paying for the software once up front. I am sure that $700 purchase was the very last time I will buy from Adobe as result of this and I hope that is the same for everyone else.
