Is ammyy.com Safe?

People from India, claiming to be from Microsoft scam users by telephone and try and trick them into going to this website which will "Fix your viruses and take care of your PC issues." However, your PC would crash within a few hours or so do to the website being infected with Malware. Do not trust this website at all costs.

Fortunately I did not fall victim, but this site is well-known for use in scams, for years. This kind of thing is only for people who understand the risks completely; definitely not for people who just want to "surf safely" . Make our future also safer: force them to make their download button a warning against scammers before giving it a good rating for the general public, please!

Site provides a good and effective program which does as it says, however there are a multitude of people, and "companies", who incorporate the use of this software in their scams to gain remote access to their victim's computers. It should be noted that only trusted people should be authorized to access the host computer.

A scammer cold-called (blocked number) and tried to convince me that the messages in my event viewer were evidence of virus infection and directed me to this website. If this is a legitimate product being used by scammers ***** could at the very last post a warning on their download page. Until then my rating stands.

AMMYY is a bona-fide remote support util. They're victims of being abused by cold calling misfits out to steal your hard-earned. Instead of downmarking AMMYY, how about providing them with information so that they can stop the abuse of their product? TeamViewer were only too happy to do so when I gave them all the information they asked for.

AFAIK this site is perfectly fine. The software itself is legitimate & often used by engineers in large corporations, colleges etc. Unfortunately some (often Indian based) cold call scammers try to convince people to download this for nefarious purposes. ***** The posters on this site who are claiming that ***** are the guilty party are in error. This is why the site itself has a green rating.
