As others have related, I've received email from them now for months. I had never heard of them before, definitely did NOT create the account they claimed I had, and continue to get a daily spam message from them. All of their emails should just be filtered to the spam directories for all major email account hosts. I might have been interested to try such a service, but not when they use these shady tactics.

It's a great site with useful information about immigration to the U.S. and you can make a family tree here. The service is not free but it is worth it if you know someone from family in america

I have used the site for over a year now without any problems. They send a low volume of email; I wouldn't consider it spam as it is related to the product I'm paying for. Haven't tried to cancel my subscription yet.

I have had a blast using this site to work on my family tree. There are so many records and I've found wonderful information about my ancestors. I've gotten back in some cases 7-10 generations. What a treasure trove of information. Thanks Ancestry!

I've never used the site but my mother uses it all the time, she's very interested in tracking the family tree and she was actually able to use the site to find out that on my dad's side I'm the descendant of English knights and Lords, oh and I'm related to the 9th and 23rd Presidents of the US!

The company makes it too difficult to opt-out of emails for product offers. You have to call their support number. . . wait. . . wait some more. . . and then ask someone to remove you from the list. Seems like bad business practices.

This site is misleading and unethical, it will put out info as public that you believe to be private when you set a account up as private, it takes any media you have and makes it public. If you set the site up for only certain people to view this will never be. The site charges money for services it does not honor, its privacy terms are false and inacurate, whether you are registered as a guest user or on a trial period time frame your at risk. DO NOT LOAD ANY INFO YOU DO NOT WANT PUBLIC! This includes the statements that a live person's info will be made public even if you have the DO NOT INDEX info in searches. This site will open doors to unscrupulous people that can take your info and use it for their own purposes putting you at high risk and much possible troubles. IT DOES NOT PRACTICE WHAT IT SAYS! IT DOES NOT RESPECT PRIVACY OR CIVIL RIGHTS and allot of the information it collects is misleading for genealogy building. And there is no way to delete or cancel an account unless you get legal assistance at a cost! This business has an expired business license and is operating under false pretense, DO NOT USE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AND THOSE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. Its privacy terms are bogus.

spam spam and SPAM!!!! im serious this spam makes me ticked off! i tell them to stop sending me spam and they say i have to "subscribe to them and pay 20$ a mounth" well heres my awnser. ,,1,, you!
