archive.today allows you to create a copy of a webpage that will always be up even if the original link is down
http://Archive.is/ your personal Wayback Machine!
It takes a "snapshot" of a webpage that will always be online even if the original page disappears.
This can be useful if you want to take a "snapshot" a page which could change soon: price list, job offer, real estate listing, drunk blog post, …
It saves a text and a graphical copy of the page for better accuracy.
It also shortens URLs much like tinyurl, goo.gl and bit.ly do.
It can save pages from Web 2.0 sites even with hashbang URLs, for example http://wikimapia.org/#y=25226684&x=55158491&z=14&l=0&m=a and http://twitter.com/#!/medvedevrussia
Saved pages will have no active elements and no scripts, so they keep you safe as they cannot have any popups or malware!
I found out about this website while repairing link rot on external references on Wikipedia articles. I know nothing about the ownership or ultimate purpose of the site, I have found it to be trustworthy, reliable and safe for my computer. I have used this site for the purpose described, which is similar to WebCite or Internet Archive, for about 3 months. I am grateful to have use of it as a resource.
Good archiving tool. I've been using it for some time now and haven't experienced downtime with it. Snapshots are generally an accurate representation of a website.
Very useful site. Best archive tool for me.
Размещают контент без согласия автора! Сайт падает в выдаче.
It is another web archiving site. We need more sites like this.
сайт размещает у себя индексируемый контент других сайтов. Несколько моих сайтов (в частности главных страниц) он копирует, при том мой уникальный контент проиндексирован на их ресурсе.
This is a web archiving site, and it is very useful for archiving URLs which may become inactive in the future.
– It doesn't respect robots.txt
– Copyright infringement
Useful archive of web site but of course it also archives misleading or malicious websites, so difficult to give a rating.
