This is an affiliate tracking site, which has a MAJOR presence on the internet. Some sites with links to this site will fail to load correctly if this site is not allowed. As previously mentioned, Awin is just an affiliate link, What this means is that shops that have adverts around the place like to know where people came from, Every time you visit a website you computer stores information on it, called a "cookie". The website reads that cookie to see if youve been there before etc. Links like this from Affiliate Window help companies work out which adverts worked best, and how to target their future advertising, by telling websites where you came from. (The cookie stores the information based on the particular URL in this case). If you don't want a certain cookie on your computer you can clear cookies on your browser. A simple and easy task. But bear in mind if you clear cookies from everywhere, like your email provider, then next time you go there it wont have rememebered your auto-enter password and username information.

If you agree to "contact by third parties" or "affiliates" or "partners" of the place you purchase from, then AWin (Affiliate Window) will act to send you spam from any affiliate subscribed to them. The biggest concern is that visited sites don't offer a choice but automatically submit your info/allow your details to be collected. Block their scripts anywhere you can.

I can only state mine own experience of Screwfix which is thus: Never received any Spam from this site ever. Have ebought from them over a number of years without any concerns. I recommend them withut hesitation and am puzzled by the negative comments. I am both a customer and a Forum member of some years.

Screwfix have been around for years & are very good in their field. Can't comment on cookies etc, but not too worried anbout that from them. Spam? I have never had anything but legit emails as I am signed up to their system. Not aware of any affiliate stuff either. Vendor reliability is second-to-none - a lesson to many companies. Just hope they don't lose the plot as they grow! Not an employee of theirs or anything, just a long-standing satisfied customer who dislikes seeing companies tarred with the wrong brush. Especially as anyone can post a negative comment and the company has no chance of answering the charges.
