There is quite a bit of miss-information floating around. The device helps with a lot of products, some not so much. For instance it will make motors of toys run at optimal speed longer, but of course that will shorten the battery life. It will make incandescent bulbs work at full brightness all of the time, but it will drain the battery a bit faster. It seems to help more in products with a dynamic environment. Meaning the drain (current) on the battery is changing rapidly, such as in a digital camera.

Do not trust, false/misleading claims of improving battery life with no factual evidence to back them up, in fact if you know anything about electronics, their product will likely reduce battery life rather than improve it, thus their claims are essentially a flat out lie...
