Every page of an article brings up a pop up for a beliefnet newsletter. This makes it irritating to the point of wanting to UNSUBSCRIBE from them.

I have been receiving newsletters from this site for 8 months now. I have found that the information I receive is reliable. They will send a couple of emails a day that are ads for for products or services, but you can stop this by simply changing your email preferences. This site also uses pop-ups, but I have never found one with any type of virus. This site is not made for kids, it is geared for adults but has no porn on it. It's the subject matter that is not for kids. By this I mean that I would not want my 12 year old to read about a woman suffering from sever depression and how she over came it.

Much of the "information" on the web site is more or less accurate, but it has some glaring and insulting content that is no less than absurd propaganda and, frankly, bullshit and lies. One case in point is the site's treatment of the sinister Scientology crime syndicate, which the site lists as a "church" and a "religion." Some of the content is just propaganda for a few hate groups.

A christian site, filled of information.....

I love the content on his site. Unfortunately they have popups that bypass most pop-up blockers pestering you to give them an email address. DON'T DO IT. I've had to close the email address I used to sign up, because Beliefnet kept sending it email even after I'd unsubscribed from everything I could find to unsubscribe from. Either Beliefnet was ignoring user preferences, or they have significant categories of email that users can't unsubscribe from. Either way, bad news. So read the material here, but don't give them an email address that you want to keep private or spam-free.
