Is byethost.com Safe?

This free hosting service appears to be the service of choice for Russian bride scams, with endless spam-advertised sites hosted at subdomains of various byethost.com domains, e.g. byethost1.com, byethost8.com. If you receive an email that contains a URL at any of these domains, you can safely discard it. The site may or may not be legitimate, but if you're looking for free hosting you might consider using a provider that isn't quite so heavily contaminated by scam sites.

with the free account type, i'm able to use the options that I needed. But when coding my site, I got redirected to other malicious sites where WOT instantly popped up and blocked my acces to the malicious site (thank WOT and my adblocker) So, its usable but be sure to have decent security minded browser plug-ins and probably a decent AV would be the standard package before visiting any sites hosted here or before beginning to host your site on here. tl;dr BE CAUTIOUS

It looks like a normal hosting site but after half an hour after you register and you set up your account and all that, your account is suspended without any given reason and your webpage redirects to all sorts of bad sites. Don't even bother with this one ! I tried twice and got the exact same result !

Well, it WORKS. But if you want a free host, do not choose this! In every support ticket I sent, instead of helping they just say something like "The site won't work because it's free host. Consider upgrading so you get a good website and support". Also, it feels like the control panel for free host is ten years old and there is alot of free hosts out there with good support and cPanel (000webhost, for example).

It's a perfectly good site. I have been using them forever and have not found anything wrong with them. I am sure there are a lot of bad sites hosted on this hosting site, but what has this got to do with the provider? The reason wrong people use it's services is because it's completely free and really good hosting service and better than many paid hosting services. I have never ever had any problems with this host, in-fact I had more problems with some of the paid services, but never a single problem with this one.
