ISPs have made agreements with this organization to let a third party known as MarkMonitor access your PC remotely in its flawed "Copyright Alerts" system, and to charge $35 to appeal a strike. See hxxps://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/11/us-copyright-surveillance-machine-about-be-switched-on EDIT 2017 (also removed live link): Why would a company that pushes for overbroad copyright enforcement use a proxy service (Cloudflare) that knowingly harbors and actively protects copyright infringing websites?

Promigulates propanganda regarding copyright, and is in no way unbiased or oriented toward the consumer. Many misleading claims about what copyright is and states is goal is to protect the consumer rather, in truth, to protect the profits of the record labels and film distributors. And, full disclosure, I am an independant video producer who does not like to see my work being stolen, but this is way over the top.

This is the official site representing the media (movie, music, TV) organizations which have forced the ISPs to adopt CAS (Copyright Alert Service). If you want to understand how CAS works and how ISPs implement it, this site is part of that understanding. Opposing CAS is not a good reason to blacklist this site.

The website isn't trustworthy, it's full of propaganda. Thus, the vendor isn't reliable
5
The highest density of bullshit I've ever seen in my life.
3
It's not about piracy at all. It's about bullying people with blind accusations to pay up $35 or else.

While I disagree with what this website is saying, I agree that this website is NOT harmful and the negative rating is nothing but a jerk reaction to the recent copyright system. This website does not deserve a negative rating because you disagree with what it says. Stop using WOT to false flag websites.

Piracy is an issue, but the solutions that this site suggests and is going to implement are simply absurd.

a bunch of thieves

VirusTotal --- ***** Sucuri ---- http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/copyrightinformation.org Webutation--- http://www.webutation.net/go/review/copyrightinformation.org Overall a clean site

The only unethical behavior going on right now is woot users using the ratings system for a reactionary cause to a legal policy they disagree with. The site is not harmful in any way shape or form. There are forums all over the web to air your opinion, as to why you think copying a movie or software or stealing someones credit card is your entitled right as a netizen but to spam a site with a false rating on woot is not helping anyones cause, and will succeed in only damaging the validity of the woot community.
3
spyware that slows down your internet connection, for example watching videos on YouTube or playing games.
4
Solid propaganda
6
If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Piracy is theft. If you torrent, you go prison for 5 years, face a hefty fine of $250,000 per illegal download, and be denied from applying for a job as piracy is a federal felony.
3
Biased misinformation. Trying to promote the tyrannical, privacy breaching "Copyright Alert System" against average internet consumers.
11
very informative site. don't let you get confused by the bad ratings from illegal downloaders and their kind.
3
This company supports the theft of money from artists and consumers alike. It is completely and utterly immoral and has lost all perspective on reality.
8
Warning. Another devious attempt to bring the internet under 'central control' i.e. stifling creativity and competition. Bring these crooks to justice.
11
Propaganda spread by the corrupt media corporations.
