Always good site

The rhetorical views and mindset of the unrealistic dogma and practice of Christian Science, which is a cult.

Asks us to subscribe to keep reading, although I turned off my ad blockers.

A news site offering pretty decent content. The bias seems minimal. Regardless, the website itself is safe.

Good site that is safe to browse and has a lot of great journalism. This site is owned by the "Christian Science Cult". As with any news website, take anything they say with a grain of salt. However, they generally have great reporting, and it's an interesting website. I trust this website, but I do not trust the cult that is behind it.

One of the best news sites for the typical layperson. Objective coverage of US and world news. Articles have just enough depth and background for a good understanding of the issues. Mostly free of biased reporting.

The name of the website is an oxymoron. There is no such thing as christian science.

I have zero patience for religion. IMO none is better than the other- and thankfully this site doesn't push it. It has lots of very well done articles and opinions. It is very well balanced. Still, it has way way too much XSS in the background. At least 2/3 of that garbage should be dropped.

one of the best online news sites i have used.

This is a great site, very useful and informative, however, like Atwas911 pointed out below me, there are quite a few trackers on this site (15 now) and I don't like that.

Good news source, as unbiased as you are going to get in today's news. The only issue is the information they collect about their visitors, but it is stated in their terms of use and privacy policy. If you choose to visit this site you are giving them permission to sell any data collected to advertisers and partners. You should read privacy info instead of rating it bad. "We also collect anonymous, aggregated data from our website and e-mail newsletters, and provide it to our advertisers and other companies that we do business with for market research and statistical purposes. The Christian Science Monitor may use such information to help determine ways to improve our Site. The Christian Science Monitor reserves the right to publish non-personally identifiable, summary information regarding its website and e-newsletter visitors for promotional purposes and as a representative audience for advertisers. Please note that this is not personally identifiable information, only general summaries of the activities of our visitors and customers. "We also allow third-party companies to serve ads and/or collect certain anonymous information when you visit our web site. These companies may use non-personally identifiable information (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over) collected during your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of greater interest to you. These companies typically use cookies or third party web beacons to collect this information. I have never seen so many tracking cookies get blocked from a single website before! My effin' god! What is this, North Korea? They want my Social Security number, too? Rated other, because it's not the worst, but damn if it's not shifty as hell.

I'm not afraid of a bunch of trackers - I just clean up after my browsing. But it would be nice if they were upfront and honest about the trackers. Anyway, there is a lot of information here and it depends on your leanings whether you like the site or not. It is a mixed bag. So read and make up your mind. Your call.

Too many third-parties getting passive information information from a single pageload and each with varying policies regarding retention, protection, usage and dissemination of that information. 12 third-parties on a single page as of Sept. 17th, 2012

The Christian Science Monitor is known for its unbiased and objective reporting. It was founded in direct opposition to the sensational yellow journalism in the 1900s, particularly that aimed at its church. It's really a secular paper, but both its name and single religious column were requirements of its founder. It's owned by the church still and they support its secular nature.

Can't beat The Christian Science Monitor..

To overly paranoid people scare of trackers, there's nothing to indicate distribution of malware/spyware/adware. This site has many interesting useful articles. If you don't like it, FEEL FREE TO REDIRECT YOUR BROWSER ELSEWHERE. Freedom For Ever.
