Racism, homophobia, and still some sexism
Stories are designed to spread fear and hate, rather than being honest representations of the truth. Particularly strong anti-muslim rhetoric.
Questionable depiction of women. Some partial nudity.
What is known as "alternative news," as in stories which have been manipulated to convey a certain socio/political view at the expense of accuracy and objectivity. To be read with tongue firmly in cheek.
I caught the Vista Antivirus 2012 trojan while surfing www.dailymail.co.uk. This program is very tedious to uninstall. If you have the same problem go to bleepingcomputer.com and search for (free) solutions.
The ethical issues I'm referring to are journalistic ones. I gave up on believing anything I read in the Daily Fail [sic] a long, long, time ago.
They do a decent job of hiding their bias - unlike other newspapers, such as The Sun - but that just makes them more dangerous.
I would advise that one never trust anything one reads in the Mail or on its website, or that it is at least taken with a hefty pinch of salt. Especially the articles about cancer, immigration, and crime, which are all hyperbole at its finest.
The paper seems to exist primarily for scaremongering and pushing of Conservative bias.
Somehow links to goingonearth.com which contains a very dangerous form of Malware.
My friend informed me that she got infected by visiting this site which redirected to goingonearth.com which dropped the Trojans which lead to a random advertising site.
Use caution.
While just a typical news site in most respects, there are frequent news stories that contain nudity or near-nudity and I would not label this site as child safe for kids under 18. I'm not sure about ethical issues or hateful/violent content as others have stated, but this site is definitely geared towards an adult viewer base.
