Disqus is a corrupt platform that promotes Shadowbanning, doesn't register every Downvote you make, and censors you. What appears to have been a legitimate attempt at a convenient comments section, has turned into a deeply suspicious and untrustworthy endeavor: -Disqus not only allows, but actively promotes shadow-banning (banning a user without informing them, so they encounter no issues posting but are actually posting invisibly, fully censored): https://help.disqus.com/en/articles/1717067-shadow-banning -Disqus occasionally appears to allow a user to upvote and downvote comments, but those upvotes/downvotes are purposefully not counted and the user is never informed. -Disqus allows authoritarian blocking: that is, when someone blocks you, their posts turn invisible to you. This means people can censor their posts to you simply because you Thumbs Down their comments. In this way, users can effectively block anyone that disagrees with them from seeing their posts or participating in conversations. Does this sound like a trustworthy PUBLIC comment platform to you? For these reasons, Disqus is not a safe, nor trustworthy solution for a comments section. If a default or alternate comments section is available for your site, you should use it instead. Reviewed this yearly, since 2012. "Admin: DETECTED AS SPAM is still tedious, nothing resolved, yet All my posts no matter agreeing or disagreeing with the writer are immediately marked as spam and yet I never use this medium for advertising any business 'which is the definition of spam'." - Nonetheless, I have never repeatedly disrupted a thread. As for trolling a user multiple times, I've never done this either, unless any discussion qualifies, so this assertion is false. - * My status in the automated spam detector can be reset, why isn't this done? * How about DISQUS doing its due diligence on this obvious flaw, or this deliberately created bias in the system? * How does that build platform credibility if a comment is falsely marked as spam? UPDATE - December 2018 - I have reviewed DISQUS many times since they started. It's designed as a Blogger client service, to create an echo chamber, filtering out anything undesirable. All the positive comments here on WOT, are affiliated with the service provider DISQUS.
