great site for software, including virus free "freeware", and trial downloads for fully legitimate paid sofware(which you pay on said software makers site, like the paid version of MBAM for example). nothing on the site has a virus or malicious content, but there are some bad seeds out there even on cnet so either way you still have to make sure you arent just randomly installing stuff and expecting it to work....though usually what makes the software a bad seed is bad programming and not because it has a virus. the site has many reviews for each software, by its staff as well as customers so its usually advisable to browse reviews beforehand... also keeps you up to date on new software, and software updates. i recommend this site to all my friends i use adblock so i dont have to worry about clicking on adds that send me to random sites

I've been going to this site for many years now. It is a great source for software downloads. You can read the users and/or the editor review of the software to see what others thought of the programs on the site. There are a few Downloads with malware that get loaded to the site. You can let c-net know by going to ***** or ***** You will have to tell them the program and the Anti-virus program that found the virus. I also do user reviews on that site also. With that said there are fake or really bad reviews by malware writers or people who did not use the program at all. So read though them to see if it is a good or bad download.
