Is download.cnet.com Safe?

I have been using this site since 2002. I would recommend this site to anyone needing a secure downloading site. My computer has never received a virus or spyware from this site. Check it out. It might be useful to you. It has a great selection of freeware software in each category.

though this site claims to have "tested spyware free" files this is not the case 100% of the time. like all anti-viral software their are holes and without fully updated scanning software it leaves the user vulnerable. this site is a prime example as promising security while offering limited action towards it. the site itself is not a bad site but uploaders on there can be malicious so be careful. sources:http://download.cnet.com/Desktop-Destroyer-3D-Screensaver/3000-2257_4-10059706.html

Don't listen to this BS, I tried to DL media player classic here. The DL failed b/c my antivirus caught about 5 different attacks on my computer! also, if this message gets trashed because of bad marks, it's probably the site trying to buff up it's own reputation.

malwarebytes 1.37 new version just got updated ***** it is safe to use finds all kinds of rogue malware that is on the internet these days buy the virus makers out on the web download it here at ***** to remove bad nasty malware that tries to get in your computer!!

Don't trust this website to hard, one of the ads was a very short one so it kept reloading and reloading and reloading in a repetitive way, it also continusly made my comptuer freeze untill i had no option put to hold down the power button. Try another download website, or if downloading programs download straight from the offical site.
