I keep getting spam via them / from them - and they do not stop it. If they were really a "good site" - they would take prompt action, and take spam complaints serious. For that reason i think they are mediocre at best.

Free accounts was promised to last forever. Then registration was disabld in, and now they will closed, and you forced to pay in order to keep your hostname. A lot of hardware vendors support only dyndns. Because, again, it was promised to be free. Nice 15-years-bait-and-switch. Thank you, dyndns, a lot, now my "free" hostname is lost forever. $35 in a year is too much for one subdomain.

Good and stable Dynamic DNS service provider, but there is quite much cheaper paid Dynamic DNS service providers that meets my requirements.

The DNS service isn't free anymore but they keep advertising it as such. What happens is that you're required to purchase, with your credit card, a 15 days trial that you're required to cancel if you don't want to be debited later. If you cancel your purchase, you get spammed with mails like "We noticed that you forgot the following items in your shopping cart, comeon, we're so great we're even gonna give you 20% off". 90% great service, 10% commercial bullshit. Enough to seriously piss me off (btw, I already received 3 mails about my "forgotten cart").
