Even I fell for this because of the .org suffix! Having given a load of personal data, I then discovered they were asking for £24+ for a five-year reminder and realised it was a scam site.
Go instead to the official EHIC site: *****

This site is misleading. You don't have to pay to have your EHIC checked. With the ''org'' in the website address many people are misguided into thinking it is a Government related web site. Ultimately people end up paying £24-50p to have their details checked. Just a rip off. One of the national newspapers have asked for an investigation into these kind of sites. These sites look very similar to the NHS one. DON'T USE THIS SITE.

The EHIC card is free, they give you nothing other than automatically forwarding of the application to the correct site.
