Just FYI - Never call them in a public space. They will read out your personal information out loud.

This company MUST possess your most sensitive personal information, and it MUST give it to thieves - all without your permission. This company represents a security risk to any that deal with its services and extra caution should be taken in dealing with them or they should be avoided entirely. See: ***** *****

THIS IS A SCAM. THEY WILL STICK ANYTHING ON YOUR CREDIT WITHOUT VERIFYING IF ITS AMOUNT IS EVEN VALID. SECOND THEY CANT EVEN TELL YOU HOW THE SCORE IS CALCULATED EXACTLY. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

CREDIT SCORES ARE A CON.

You have little to no control over what personal, non-public info they collect and sell to others. Phone 'support' is outside USA, English is very poor.and results are nil. NOT a good thing.

This company either sells your email address to spammers, or engages in email spam themselves. Give them a unique address that no one else knows, and that address will start receiving miscellaneous spam which is completely unrelated to Equifax's ostensible business. Since they didn't disclose this at signup, I assume they can't be trusted with anything at all.

Checking my free credit report which I am legally entitled to does not give you permission to start spamming me with your BS offers. Shame!

They collect private information for individuals including, but not limited to, your name, address, previous addresses, employers, your credit accounts, disputes with creditors, your payment history, and your social security number. They provide this information to your creditors, lenders, government, current and prospective employers, the used car salesman, and others. In the US you are - by statute - entitled to a free report from this company (one per year). see FCRA Using their personal service has some advantages. You have real-time access to the information that they provide to others without your permission. You can identify their mistakes. You are notified of credit inquiries. Other useful alerts are available.

Can you believe this? This is my reply to them from an email they sent me after they told me on their site that they could give me the info from the companies I have dealt with but could NOT give me an actual score due to how the companies interpret the information. Then on the next webpage they offered to actually give me a real score if I paid them. The next day I get an email offering me the same deal(actual score for money) but they even sweetened the deal by knocking off 3 whole bucks!!! Here is my reply to them. "When I requested my credit score all your site gave me was the information from each company I have dealt with. With good detail I might add. But then you said you could NOT give me an actual score due to the fact that different companies use the information to basically come up with their own score. But then you had the audacity to tell me if i paid you money you COULD give me a credit score. Then you had even more audacity to send me an email offering to give me my actual score, again if i paid you. Due to this underhandedness I have reported you to WOT(web of trust) with a VERY low scores in the vendor reliability and trust worthiness categories. And I WILL be going to the Web of trust forums to spread my complaints even more. There is only one way you can get me to undo this damage and that is to take back the outright lies you fed me and send me my actual score that you said was impossible to give me due to how other companies use the information....unless I paid you money Have a nice day. Robert P." God I hate sites like this.

I had a membership with this site to monitor my credit rating and score years ago, and decided to sign up again about a year ago. BIG MISTAKE! When I went to cancel my membership a couple of months ago, I repeatedly called, at varying times of the day, and would never make it past hold. I waited while "no representatives were available" for OVER AN HOUR! I finally had to resort to canceling the credit card to which this was billed in order to stop it from being renewed each month. Unbelievably poor customer service, in my opinion.

Phishing activities. And day say they are an certificate provider on internet. Why they can be an internet certificate provider while they can't have a good customer experience?
3
Went to login and my password would not work. Had to call on phone to reset it -- no online password reset. When I called I got big sales pitch. Also, they retained my credit card info without notifying me, then did an auto-renewal after one year using that credit card number -- without my permission.

USE EXPERIAN DONT MESS WITH EQUIFAX OR TRANS UNION UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING HUNG UP ON AND TOLD THEY DONT HAVE TO TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT NEGITIVE IMPACT ON YOUR CREDIT. TWO THUMBS DOWN.

This is a company that makes its money by collecting personal, non-public information and selling it to other companies. Individuals have no control over the information unless it is provably false; they can't even opt out.
7
Their customer service people are not within the United States. If you ask a question that does not appear on their scripts they are unable to help you. English most definitely is not their first, or even their second, language. It's truly sad when your own reps are unable to pronounce the company name correctly.
