While the Facebook service in and of itself is not malicious or abusive, their recent decisions regarding selling you to advertisers more so than they have done are quite disconcerting.
You also have to take into account the questionable applications that anyone can produce and in turn have access to your information even after discontinuing permissions for the application. These have proliferated far and wide including plays on the Facebook name and reputation itself to get you to accept and install the application.

You have to know which data you provide on facebook. In addition I only say.. it's facebook and they can't live from love and air..

Great way to stay connected with friends and family. Though I've never encountered pop ups I have encountered irrelevant ads.

Maybe's the world's most famous website. The security level is pretty high, but be careful with some third-part applications wich could be just spam. Children under 13 are not allowed (at least here in Italy), so be careful and control your child during the navigation (this should concern all the net and not just facebook...)
