Is facebook.com Safe?

Be careful when using Facebook and their Aps. I always surf using https for security. When you go to their aps, it asks you to temporarily let them drop the s and go to basic http in order to access the ap. Then it will be restored. Well in the beginning, it did. Then I emailed them on it and I never got an answer. Then it started NOT restoring it back to https. Be careful, be very careful!

I have picked up viruses several times while playing certain games on Facebook, that crashed my PC. It could not reboot or find the hard drive. I was able to repair myself, but the last one was almost fatal. The virus destroyed files on my PC, prevented AVG from completing virus scan. They appear to be transmitted through the animated games. This last one came from Gardens of Time. Facebook has become a very dangerous environment, be careful of all links.

Learn how yo use it, Learn what not to use. Change you security settings often.Use the correct programs to block off the wrong stuff they use and you will be just fine using it. Educate yourself on it. DON'T USE ANY APPS ,DO NOT CLICK ON LIKE OR DISLIKE. If you learn how they work and you use preventative measures,it's just fine.

Yes, you can edit your account to your liking, how private you would like it to be, at least for now. But there's only so much one can really hide. I'm not too computer savy, but anyone from this generation should understand that someone can always get into your information if they'd really like to: whether it be a job/college reviewing your profile or simply a hacker or even a marketing company. You're never really entirely safe. I will also agree in the fact that the website is definitely virus prone with some of the ads they have as well as applications. Even simple things such as clicking on the wrong notification when you login. It's an alright website, you just can't be too trusting in it. Don't post your entire life & every detail of yourself on it; even if that is the entire point of it. That's just foolish & asking for trouble. Be wary of what you choose to click & participate in as well.

I make a bad experience with this site. I was a member for long time, but one day, I comment some photos and what is what I have to see: My comments were not taken in the line I post them, but in a wrong order. And I HOPE^^ I can also exclude that my account has been hacked... Of course, dear facebook, it is only my experience. And I don't want to say that you are bad. Sure it's an exception. And if there are some hackers who can hack this thing, I think there are also some who can hack facebook. *****
