If the advert is from a company that is unheard of it is properly not safe. There are also security flaws with facebook and has resulted in people getting spammed although this is an issue facebook is getting better at dealing with. Don’t put down to much personal information about yourself on this site as it is very easy to access it and I’m also aware of a case in London that personal information was used to find out where the individual lived to beat him up. With all this facebook is still a great and safe way to stay in touch with friends from all over the world as long as you’re careful about not giving too much personal information away, and be aware of the adverts as well.
