This site is new. With wider acceptance it could become a useful repository for fixing the inevitable occasional error that can occur in ratings systems that depend on the human element. In time, it could also serve as a useful measure of vendor and administrator responsiveness across the board.

Malware creators have always been a step ahead, and the sensitivity of AV products to zero day exploits is only getting worse. This site is investigating better ways of analyzing, identifying and whitelisting safe files, which may turn out to be a more effective way to control the spread of malware in the long run.

I believe this will be a useful central repository for False Positives and site Mis-Ratings. For FPs, remember, the true FP rate can not be calculated correctly in any lab due to increased reliance on heuristics and behavioral monitoring. Through transparency, we can see which vendors care the most. Already, some vendors have shown a strong commitment to fixing these mishaps, and avoiding them in the future.
