Fastbase appears deceptively avoidant in their automatic renewal policy. Since they do not provide an FAQ or Settings function, you are unable to opt out of auto renewal. Nor do they provide a formal Contract (or policy); you are merely provided an invoice which states automatic renewal will take place unconditionally.effective one year out. If a Fastbase rep wishes to comment to this post, and provide specific instructions/conditions here on this format, it would be very helpful to the consumer and potential client. Full disclosure would be providing specific instructions/conditions and functionality through website or invoicing. Please respond.

Site claiming to offer extensions to Google Analytics, advertised by unsolicited email. The messages are formatted to closely resemble messages from Google. The website invites visitors to "sign in with Google", which will generate an OAuth authentication allowing the site to have some level of access to your Google account. It is not clear exactly which permissions they will request, but at a minimum they are likely to require access to your Google Analytics data -- so by 'signing in' you are effectively handing a third party access to private data about your website(s). This is something that you might want to think twice before doing even in the case of a trustworthy business, let alone one that is advertised using deception and spam. Unsolicited emails promoting this site use multiple alternate domains in their 'From' and 'Reply-To' lines. Some of the domains used have names that include trademarks belonging to third parties, such as 'linkedin' or 'adwords'. The emails also falsely claim that recipients have asked to receive messages from the sender. The messages typically target 'role' accounts at domains, such as 'info@' etc.

This company sent me a spam claiming I asked to receive messages from them. I did NOT! The e-mail is designed to look the same as a message from Google. This is misleading, unethical, and very suspicious. The domain name (apparently) used for sending the e-mail is also misleading because it is designed to look as if it is associated with the well known website "LinkedIn". Again, this is misleading, unethical and suspicious. Stay away from this company.
