I have found personal files that I created and shared with others being offered on this site while demanding payment for the files. I would not have believed it if I had not seen it for myself. This kind of practice is below a slippery-slope and an outrage.
Yesterday I found the official forum FilesMonster with service information, photos, video clips and downloads - elite-forum.org - there daily updates, high quality content and convenient access to any categories of video. Recommend this service!
Splits file in two, but always gives error on second part. If it is this unreliable, why would anyone waste money on this when there are far better online file services available.
A scam. Never use this service unless you want unlimited frustration. After downloading part 1 of a three part file, I had to wait 45 minutes to download part 2. After downloading part 2, the download link for part 3 would not refresh, and displayed this message permanently:
With your IP address xx.xxx.xxxx.xxx is already in use 1 free download(s).
The next download will be available by 45 minutes after the end of active download
To avoid limitations buy Premium account
No amount of waiting, clearing cache, cookies; restarting my browser, using a different browser, etc... would change this message. Waiting 45 minutes forever means NEVER accessing content.
Be prepared for endless wait times.
Avoid at all costs.
This site has all videos, no matter how large, in a single file. They have to be downloaded withing 24 hours. Unfortunately, the site is rather slow, so a full movie may not download within one day. I have downloaded 99% of a movie and then lost it. Also, and this may or may not be of importance, Filesmonster comes from Finland but apparently is located in Russia. I would not have given them my credit card number, but so far I have had no problems. I will keep my fingers crossed. Also, being in Russia, who knows how private it is? I think Hotfile is safer for a download site.
When you click on one of their links, it asks you to complete a captcha and tells you to wait 59 seconds to begin downloading. After a minute passes, you are then told that "there are no more free downloading slots available". It's like this constantly; doesn't matter how many times you try, you will never get obtain your file. This is a poorly veiled attempt of forcing the user into purchasing a premium account just to complete their download. This place is to be avoided.
Connected with the Russian organised crime. I downloaded a file here and I was presented with a banner directing to a fraudulent online pharmacy that connected with the bigest pharma spammers on the internet. The DNS records of filesmonster.com shows it`s IP 213.163.84.172 being hosted in Holland at a rogue ISP "Serverboost IP space" also a sponsor for Russian cyber crime (malware, exploits).
I wouldn`t give my personal data to site for a sign up... neither to upload something that will be surely copied and used for their own interests.
