Is forum.blockland.us Safe?

A forum for the game Blockland, harmless in terms of safety. The community may be deemed hostile, mostly up to whether or not you end up getting along with certain users. Immoral acts receive much more backlash compared to other communities. Usually only moderated by 1 person; things may slip through the rules. Though pornographic material is not allowed, a few threads are dedicated to posting or largely include questionable NSFW images (some outright explicit). To have some sort of clue on the environment of the website, the user base is mostly made up of teenagers.

(edited ***** for a more updated review) The community is safe but there are a few insane people who have done bad things. Child Safety: The site is NOT child-safe. There are occasional account takeovers which result in spam of obscene content which gets removed in a day, or even in a few hours if there's luck. Trustworthiness/Reliability: Most forums are barely trustable. Do NOT post personal info, because of the reason I said below. Privacy: The site has great privacy until you've posted info on any place of the internet. There is a person who has no connections with the staff who collects peoples' personal information. If you've posted personal information on ANY site exposed to the web, then he will collect it and keep it filed. I don't know what this person uses this information for, but I do know he is untrustworthy.

EDIT: Actually, i take it back. the forums does contain tons of swearing, but hey, that's the internet. i wouldn't recommend joining the forums if you don't know what your doing. if you do know what your doing and play your cards right, you'll be fine. Otherwise, use caution.

A website made by Eric Hartman, creator of the game Blockland. It has sold more than thousands of keys, and hundreds of servers and friendly people on every day. The forums however, can contain a variety of swear words and vulgarity. Parental admission is advised if your child downloads fun things on the add-ons sections of the forums.

Despite appearing to be a children's game, this website is not child friendly and should be avoided. The community is mostly teenagers, many who have a hateful demeanor. The members are antagonistic and argumentative and it is an unpleasant experience. Why the users are like this it is not known but a brief flick through the topics reveals many end in personal disputes. The administrator of the website appears to take a back seat and not address the issues. He is reluctant to improve any of the websites flaws and does not make a sincere effort to respond to contact attempts. Previous posts show he often mocks concerned parents who issue a complaint by revealing their emails in mocking fashion in what is called a "mail bag". He attempts to justify his lack of interest because of his small time indie status. This website is inappropriate for children. If for whatever reason you decide you want to buy a game that is associated with an aggressive community, good luck to you.

This website is obviously not for children, thought it is a forum aimed at teenagers. There's a lot of hate going on in here, and it is not recommended to go in this forum, unless if you want to be stalked by someone and then having the intent of killing yourself, because this can seriously damage your self-esteem.

I wouldn't trust anybody on that site to get me a drink. Privacy goes out the window when you've got several morons trying to figure out who you are an alternate account of, and the incredibly hostile attitude towards newer or "stupid" members creates a terrible environment for children. The existence of the drama board just goes to show that those kids will argue about everything.

Currently there is a member gone rogue, "Sepi0rth". He is posting shock images, including pornographic gore and the like. He said he was also going to release a DDoS attack on the forums. Fortunately, Badspot is smart and will fix this problem later.

It can be a little harsh at times but intelligence is appreciated there. It is a very funny and entertaining site and there is never any porn and/or adult content and even if there is it is deleted and the person is permanently banned. And like DrenDran said, most of the people who hate on this site is because they got banned for being idiots and are just mad.
