Ist freeridegames.com sicher?

I've used this site for years and never had a problem with it. It is an excelent way to try out new games you might want to buy ('cause really that one hour sample is not enough time to decide whether or not to shell out twenty bucks for a game!) Or even to play games that while fun and entertaining really don't have the replayability to be worth buying. Now to breakdown the criticisms: Yes, there are ads! They occupy two sides of the box the game plays on as well as a30-60 second "live" ad that plays occasionally. These ads are the ONLY reason you can play these games for free! Think about it. This is a gaming site not a charity, they didn't pay good money for the rites to host these games just to be nice! They would have been out of business in a week! As to malware, viruses, or other suspicious activity, I've never experienced any. However, when you download a game, along with all the other permisions, it asks you to download a toolbar and change your homepage to their site. Decline both! It's very simple just deselect those to options before completing the download, but you must do this everytime you download a new game. Why? Because the toolbar is from a third party and, while it does enable you to access freeridegames.com instantly, it acts like malicious software. It tried to change my settings and lit-up all my security programs, though to be fair I have the super agressive Obit Security Suite which, after an update, also kept deleting the .exe file from the Free Games player as well. Toolbar/ homepage easy fix, just don't install. Security suite deleting player .exe fix, still looking.

I may have hit "submit" by mistake, or I somehow wiped out my whole comment. I'll try to make it short. The game site does not seem to be the source of the trouble. It's the "Delta Search Engine" that downloads with it. It contains a program called "Trojan horse Dropper.Generic8.AQXC, which does exactly that. Once I deleted Delta Search, and removed it from my browsers' settings, everything returned to normal. But you must check your settings on every browser on your machine. If you use Google Chrome (as I do) you must remove it from every identity you use. It will be in two of the settings for Google Chrome, so look for it. It will be a URL under "Appearence/Show Home button", and "Search/Set which search engine... from the omnibox". If they are not checked, check them, change them to whatever you like, ("http://isearch.avg.com/tab?cid={A3E0A88D-1E39-4B27-AA57-6DDFF618D56D}&mid=2664f81672d547d69a9ff186768af0ff-c320c32ed3ec01db54871ec7105b43a02320a845&lang=en&ds=AVG&pr=fr&d=2012-10-27%2017:33:34&v=14.2.0.1&pid=avg&sg=&sap=nt" will give you AVG's search), then uncheck them again. This way, if you ever do use these settings, they won't infect your machine.

I clicked the portion to play games with no ads. Registered my name for free trail and gave my credit card to sign up for the site. when playing the game the ads pop up and I cant get it to stop. There is no customer service number or any way to get help with this site. So if the owner of this site reads this comment. I would like to receive credit back on my card and I will take the money and go buy the game itself. there really isn't anything free about this site..

Downloaded several free games,chicken invaders 3 christmas edition also the easter edition; and today, the poppit show; After an annoying 60 minutes of trying to play the games got the message that I had played. I haven't been able to play any of these games. I have however been inundated with junk mail. Over 200 in 3 days!! coincidence?

Now, for the rest of you people who want to say that FRG has a trojan, or other bad stuff, let me inform you of something: My antivirus programs did NOT detect anything bad on this site! However, they did detect Trojans, viruses, malware, spyware, & adware, on the paid-for sites! My suggestion to you is: Don't judge books by their covers! You will always come across sites that are rated by viewers as having poor ratings. You need to listen to those who actually have downloaded games, as I'm quite sure they're not going to lead you to a site to destroy your computer! 1 more thing, instead of slandering the sites that offer free games, next time, contact them, because it may be a bug that needs to get fixed, that they're NOT aware of! Okay? Have a blessed day everyone! Let's give thanks for those who do offer free games, as they're the 1's who are working hard at keeping these games free! Stop slandering them! Let them know what the problems are & I'm SURE they'll keep it in mind when they improve/update their site!

I love playing free games, especially casual games to help pass the time on the weekends and at work. I found Freeridegames and I thought it was too good to be true, but then after downloading some games, I saw how easy and fun it was. Yes there are ads there, but there are ads everywhere you play for free online.

The site is great and I love it very much. However, I just have one issue with one game I've tried playing. I say 'tried' becuase when I play it, it moves very slow. Like the cursor reaction on-screen is a second later than when I moved my mouse. The game this happens in is "Fashion Dash." I really want to play this but I find it very hard to complete the levels as the cursor doesn't move when I move my mouse. Other than that, I've enjoyed the other games I've played thus far.

I like the games on the site, great, secure, virus-free website. maybe sometimes there are insecure games, but those games belong to their creator, and their creator should be held responsible for the viruses in the game, not freeridegames. *their exetender* is verified by trustee: http://www.freeridegames.com/product/about/aboutus.html?tab=1 if the games contain viruses, that is the responsibility of the games creator,and you should complain to the game's creator about that..(whoever they are)
