Ist freeshipping.com sicher?

I do not doubt the veracity of those who have written that freeshipping.com led them to give a credit card number and then billed them without authorization. That said, my experience as a long-time member of freeshipping.com has been excellent. They offer 10% cash-back, paid quarterly, for a large number of merchants, when I initiate my transaction from freeshipping.com. Merchants include walmart.com, buy.com, ***** and many more big-name sites. I routinely begin my shopping from freeshipping.com, for merchants that they pay 10% back on. I can still use coupon codes at the site, just as I would when I visit the site directly. The 10% back is via a check sent to me. Very easy to use the site. I have had more than $500 cash back each year, easily covering my $100 or so annual fee. Edit August 2024: They now pay the 10% cash back via direct deposit to my checking account. Very convenient. Again, be aware of the site's unauthorized charges to some people. But if you do decide to pay their fee, and IF you buy a lot online, it might be a good fit for you.

It is not a scam, but it is probably not a good deal for most people. I didn't bite and I would never recommend it to anyone. but... Bit of a hard sell, but what should you expect on the internet. I've experienced worse at some used car lots and most church services.

***** is awesome. I have been a subscriber for over 10 years and have saved hundreds of dollars. Since it does cost $13 a month, you need to do enough Internet ordering to make it worthwhile. This includes a rebate of your shipping and handling charges up to $10 per purchase, rebates on returns, local merchant cashback and, at most sites, 10% cash back of your purchase total not including shipping and handling charges or taxes. You are told if the Internet purchase 10% cash back applies or not before clicking the visit button. If you add these all together and the sum is over $13 for the month, you have made money. If not over $13, this is not a deal for you. You can still get the 10% cash back even if there are no shipping charges to get a rebate from freeshipping.com. Note: for this to work you need to go to the merchant’s website through freeshipping.com and stay with that tab. My rebate checks for the past year added up to $460.44. Subtract 12 months of $13 monthly fees, the net return is $304.44. I have saved hundreds of dollars over the past 10 years and highly recommend freeshipping.com.

The process is intentionally and unnecessarily difficult to implement as a customer, and the process is misleading. Their website says to simply click on the links of the sellers and the shipping will be waived. However, that is not what occurs. The shipping is charged to the customer, and then they have to go through the arduous process of copying receipts and submitting claims to get the reimbursement. That is not reasonable for someone to have to go through on every order they place, and I believe this is done intentionally to dissuade people from making the claims. When I contacted them about this, they just canceled my account and didn't address my concerns. I would have canceled anyway. They also don't publish their physical or mailing address on their website, which is always a red flag.

this site seems suspicious; as it asks you to click to get free shipping? Well, my order was already free shipping. I clicked on the link out of curiosity. And became immediately aware of the fact that it wanted me to insert my card info. Nada...I don't give cards to strangers.

UNSCRUPULOUS business practices. They slam your credit card bill with unauthorized charges and/or without giving sufficient up front notice. I discovered a $12.97 charge on my credit card from IC*FreeShipping.com (which appears to be owned by Clarus Marketing) and contacted my credit card company to investigate. My card provider found three other charges from this company that I missed, one the previous month for another $12.97 and two others for $1.97 each during prior months. I have yet to discover how these folks got my card information. (I rarely ever order products online, and when I do, I have a debit/credit card that I use exclusively for that purpose if/when Paypal is not available.) I am taking this info to our states attorney general in the a.m. (only 5 miles to their office) to file a formal complaint against this business for "Unethical Business Practices" and potential "Identity Theft"...

I saw an ad for this site on eBay, decided to find out if the ludicrous 10$ rebate was true. When I visited the site, I noticed that it was strikingly similar to self-starter.com. I don't recommend giving them your credit card, but if you really wanna find out, I recommend using a prepaid card with spare change on it.

Thank you WOT - I was "offered" this wonderful rebate as part of my purchase from ***** (an otherwise very good firm to do business with). Only when I got to the 4th page was there any mention of a fee. After reading the review here I find this rather an annoying way of doing business. Please note - I checked several of the sites that rated this company as trustworthy - all but 1 had 1-3 reviews total. I can not say they are shills, because I don't know this company. But, IMHO, it really reduces this company's credibility. AGAIN THANK YOU WOT.

Great and very underrated website! I have been a member for years and have had no problems. You pay $95 for a years membership subscription, and then every time you place an order from one of the many approved vendors (including eBay, Amazon, Half.com, Roaman's and many others), you get up to $10 in shipping costs refunded with a check within 2 months. If you order a lot online which I do, you will save the annual subscription fee several times over. IF you don't shop a lot online, it's not worth the subscription fee.

Consumer complaints cite increased prices for goods shipped by this company, as well as uninformed acceptance of its services due to vague offers of "free shipping" by other merchants, which fail to disclose freeshipping.com as a third party and the monthly fee - a failure which appears to be at least partially engineered by CMG. In 2011, the State of Iowa required CMG to make clear and conspicuous disclosure to prospective purchasers of all the material aspects of transactions and to provide them with periodic statements and cancellation options. In light of this and other complaints, it is evident that CMG avoids disclosures common to good business practice unless forced to do so.
