This one actually tells you about the subscription fee in more obvious ways than others (e.g. in Terms of Use, side panel 2nd page), but only after given name and email will this information be present, and then Terms of Use and Terms of Service are only seen by members. Dark alley - yes. Scam - not quite. -------------------------------------------------------------- -A lot of stress can be avoided by Google-ing.

$12/mo. membership. That's $144/yr. Up to $10 reimbursed for each shipping charge. (max $500) So you would have to order 15 things a year from one of their partner web sites and the shipping would have to be $10+ for you to come ahead for the year. Not a scam, but not very ethical since a lot of people are mathematically challenged. So how does a company like this make money? On those who haven't done the math and think they are getting a great deal. From people who only buy a few things each year or who's total shipping for the year is less than $144. And of course, the number of people who lose on the deal (well, the actually cumulative money losses for those people) have to outweigh the number of people who win (again cumulative monetary wins for users). I'd say this is pretty much like preying upon the poor, for a little analogy.

I had the best experience ordering from this company, Sheri's Berries. The order was packaged well, arrived right on time for a birthday surprise, and the dark chocolate covered strawberries were the best! The chocolate was thick and scrumptious, and the strawberries sweet and very large! I've ordered several times now, even the no added sugar for a diabetic friend, and they were sooooo good. I trust this site for security, ease of ordering, the whole experience deserves a high five!

I often wonder who is writing the good content comments. most of the good comments sound like the same person is writing them. also who knows if the company representitive is trying to balance the remarks with bogus content. My wot rating states that this website is questionable.

I've been using Free Shipping for about 4 years now. I have never had a problem generated from their site. It's even easier to use now that claims can be filed by email instead of the post office. I really don't think that many of the people who have commented here understand the program or have searched the website thoroughly. You do have to look for some info when you first get started - it's like your bank accounts - pay attention and read the words or you will miss something and end up signing up for something you do not want. You DO HAVE to pay for this and it is not worth it if you will not be spending more than the fee every year for shipping. I get back about ***** above the fee each year. It enables me to buy only what I would like from sites I use regularly. I know I will get any shipping back and I do not have to buy 50.00 or 75.00 or 25.00 in merchandise in order to get free shipping. I appreciate this.

People commenting negatively seem not to understand the deal here. You do pay a membership fee, but then you will be reimbursed up to $10 FOR EACH shipping charge you incur from any of their hundreds of vendors (including BUY.COM, Amazon & eBay) up to a max of I believe $500 total in a year and up to 12 purchases from any single vendor. I've been with them several years, and they have been very responsive and flexible when I've contacted them. The customer service folks at least seem like really nice folks. It's true their marketing methods are a bit suggestive of a scam, but in fact it is not, and if you purchase a fair amount online it can be a really good deal.

This website might be OK if they told you upfront that you will be charged $12.00 a month for their services, but they don't. They ask for your mother's maiden name or place of birth and that is dangerous info to give out. I would be losing money if I signed up for this service because I don't order enough stuff online to save money on shipping. This site gets the lowest rating I have ever given. Zero stars.

You click the link at Pro Flowers (or where-ever) They ask for your credit card number in order to return your money. then your credit card is charged $12 per month forever. I tried to cancel, but there is no link to cancel. I have contacted customer service, and hopefully they will cancel my "account" .

After reading comments, I was skeptical to try, but did. I recieved my first check during my trial period the other day. I pay for a lot of shipping through the sights that they offer free shipping for, the $12 monthly fee will be more than worth savings I will receive. I wish I had found them soonoer!

I have been using this site for about as long as I have been using WOT and I suppose this is the first time I have gone to the main page instead of the log on page... I was amazed at all the negativity in the comments. I have never had a problem with this company that was not taken care of in a timely fashion. You get what you pay for people, and if you can not deal with that, you are on the wrong planet.

I usually receive about $200 dollars for shipping every year. I have never had a problem with unwanted spam, and always received prompt responses to any emails I've sent to them. If you shop online regularly this site is worth the investment. The key is usage frequency.
