Gandi is an excellent domain name registrar. They are located in Paris, France with a second office in Baltimore, USA. I have several domains registered with them, a few websites hosted with them, and have interacted with their customer support staff of a few occasions. All of my experiences with them have been extremely positive. They're not the cheapest registrar around, but you certainly get what you pay for. I highly recommend them.
