I like this website, there are soo many cool projects going on there.

While I to find that site / service (provider) itself is trustworthy and reliable, one should remember at all times, that projects which are hosted in here, has high variety of content/quality/etc, and therefore ***EVERY PROJECT HOSTED BY THIS SERVICE SHOULD REVALUED INDIVIDUALLY.***
___Not suitable for children___: high variability of hosted content (games that contain unsuitable content: __violence__, __sexuality__, __language__, __ideology__).
Same goes for online content, like project's __forum__ and __wiki__ (though usually monitored, somewhat).
Not suitable for ___unaware-user___, as one can easily end-up downloading and installing unwanted product: potentially harmful (alpha stage or by essence) for something.
Service itself is one of the most popular web-based project hosting for developers and programmers.
I've never had any type of security problems on Github, and feel it's very safe. I use it very often to find help with various bits of code and fixes for projects that I am working on.
Reliable and popular social network for developers where you can share codes with your friends and colleagues and, thus, streamline your workflow and boost your productivity.
