Is google.com Safe?

Well everyone loves GOOGLE, me too - seems to be the best searchengine! BUT: It comes at a price, google collects Information, everywhere, always, aggressive and uncannily proficient! Sorry guys GOOGLE HAS to be Re-Rated: - its not child-safe (Not at all! No easier way to find porn!) - its privacy is bad - that should be obvious, doesn´t it?! I've been using Google and Gmail as my search engine and web-mail service since their birthday and it's my first priority but, you should never fully trust any web service specially search engine and web-mail services. They collect as more as information they can about anything they want! some kind of information to improve their services and some other...! If I say a huge- worldwide company like Google is growing just by selling a few paid services and Ads or something, you can call me a fool! I understand that in the most services, Google is helping people to have a fast and easier cyber experience but we all know that, Nothing is free! We are all paying it by putting our privacies is danger. So, Google Search is still my favorite but Gmail? I don't trust it anymore, and Google Maps and SPECIALLY Latitude service, for Example when you install Maps on your phone, Latitude is enable by default, exporting you landmarks into the server and you have no other choice like not sending them into server and force the G Maps to read them from your phone's memory, and My position in On by default, reporting your position every single second. Even if you disable Latitude in Maps mobile software, the information will stay on map's server till you delete them manually by Google Dashboard...bla bla bla...! Think I'm paranoid? spend a couple of weaks and explore Settings and Options of all Google's products, then think again!

Google does NOT scan any links (especially the ones in advertising!), they have an application or something of the like that analyzes websites for viruses, but it's still not enough. And don't forget the fact that anyone can turn SafeSearch off, even an 11 y/o or younger! other then that, it's a good search site, but can be plauged with fake results. Point taken; be careful, just not TOO careful. Also, get NoScript in order to block google analytics, which records searches and history to bring more relavent ads to you, but is really just tracking your progress...

I choose to give google child safety rating low, because I do have children who use the computer. I know I could put parental lock basically on GOOGLE search, but it's extremely time consuming to have to change parental settings so I or my Husband can use GOOGLE fully with no restrictions. I think that GOOGLE should have an option to choose whether the adult or child is using google and opt to put a password in to use GOOGLE search with no restrictions. Putting in a password is a lot less time consuming than having to go into the settings and change restrictions.
