They plant cookies that retrieve info for their advertisers and so they can collect data to sell more advertising. They log your every move.

I'm very suspicious of their tracking programs like google-analytics and googlesyndication for possible gathering of personal data and providing to other corporations (selling 'marketing' data) or agencies.
I use the Firefox web browser and it has a "NoScript" add-on which allows me to block GoogleAnalytics, GoogleSyndication, and any other such spywares it detects.
