FooSV's comment below is false. I develop Facebook apps myself and in order to view private data such as a person's Wall, photos, likes or friend list, a user access token needs to be obtained from the user himself by showing the app's authentication dialog.
If you're paranoid, you can turn off all apps in Privacy Settings, though you might as well delete your entire Facebook account.
